The First Rain

Meadows of fresh green, ending pale of summer.
Squelching mud in the puddles, leaping toads everywhere.
A walk with the nature, and a thought of you.
Is it just me, or are you aware?

Filled with fishes, these reckless streams.
With wild wishes, my audacious dreams.
Carefree of boundaries, breaking barriers.
Where to stop? Are they aware?

Caught in the tempest, and tearing apart,
are the high rises, palm trees, and my heart.
Gusty, roaring wind, with a whiff of ballad.
Am I hallucinating, or you're humming back there?

Thundering, dark clouds, crashing in the mountain.
Falling on the leaves, deluge of first rain.
Contemplating the vista, while dancing all along.
Am I here alone, or are you there?
